WOYWW #623: More teabags and altered playing cards!

Running late today, even though I was up at the crack of dawn, but got distracted as usual. I snapped a quick photo of my desk just minutes ago - I'm afraid it's in a terrible state still - I must make some room before starting on my ATCs for next week!

First things first, I've finished my 100-day project! Ok, I cheated a little by working in a weekly series - you're supposed to post every day, but I couldn't have done that, so this was a good compromise with the same end result - 100 altered teabags! In the end there were 9 left over which (in retrospect) would have been a better number to work with purely for esthetic reasons.  Here are my last nine tea bags - white stamping on a colourful alcohol ink background.

Here's a picture of all 100 of them in the box - I wasn't sure they would all fit but they did!

Even my clean up sheet turned out rather pleasing:

Apart from these, I've also worked on some more altered trading cards for the MME Facebook group, inspired by some of the members. It's good how we can bounce ideas off each other. These were done with alcohol inks and distress oxides:

That's it for today. There's just an Oreo photo left to share - he's looking more like himself in this one lounging on top of my puzzle board. He's newly jabbed - we missed his booster in lockdown and had to start a new course. It was very stressful for both of us with the vets being overbooked! All good now!

Happy #623 everyone! I'll start working on my ATCs this week - let me know if you want to swap and I'll add you to my list! xx

  1. Of course I would love to swap with you.
Right got that out of the way - love your latest teabags and that clean up sheet is fabulous. I can see you having fun with that one. Wish it was a page in my journal.
Your altered cards are lovely, I like the Tim Holtz dolls one especially - maybe because they stand out with those bold figures on them.
    Ah Orio - bless him.
    Hugs, Neet 6 xx

  2. Poor Oreo, going to the V.E.T is not a happy experience, my Ron yowls all the way there and back! You’ve had fun with those tea bags for the challenge, what happens to them now? I think your desk is magnificently messy this morning but as long as you know where everything is, then that’s ok!!

  4. I'd love to swap ATCs with anyone and everyone. I couldn't tell which week of your tea bags I have loved more but I do really like this final installment. The contrast of the white against the coloured background is stunning. Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #4

  5. Hi Zsuzsa, I'd love to swap with you. I'm guessing you've not moved again yet so I still have your address...unless of course you have! Loving your art work and Oreo too though he has a strange look on his face today. Sending lots of woyww hugs, Angela x17x

  6. Poor Oreo!!!!!!!!!!! I feel ya buddy! I had my last jab last week and it was NO FUN for me either!! LOL Kitty scratches to that little guy!! Oh my gosh I LOVE your last 9! The colors are amazing!! BRAVO to you my friend for the 100!! I have to say you are more of a woman than me!! The concept is good in my mind, but I can tell you it would NEVER happen for me! LIFE gets too much in the way for me and I'm afraid I would only disappoint myself by committing to that! LOLOLOL You did an awesome job! I love playing cards as well! I'm like you in that I love sharing ideas especially when I'm drawing a blank! We all have a little different talent that was gifted us, so why not share that talent with others and gift them a gift of an idea they hadn't thought about??? That's what I love about our arting communities! I am up for a swap with you my friend, although I will be after the fact with anyone that wants to swap with me. I have too much on my plate with this wedding right now and can't even get my regular swaps done this month...eeeek!! Hope all is well with you and the fam and you are able to get out start visiting more!! Blessings to you my far away friend! :) Felicia #25

  7. Your teabags and altered playing cards are brilliant, Zsuzsa - I especially like the playing cards this week, with the added figures. So good to see Oreo looking less fierce this week and a lot more like his sweet self! Give him a cuddle from me.

Thank you for your visit and for your good wishes and encouraging remarks about my upcoming investigations. I did more than cringe when Ruby started attacking the kitty throw! She got roundly told off! Not a good start. Once they get used to it I expect it will be OK. Those curly little detached tails are rather tempting, I can see that! I managed to make good progress on the border today in my hubby's absence - he ended up being out for longer than he planned, which was good. The Purple Circles jumper is now being blocked in readiness for making up.

    Happy WOYWW,

  8. Your work is always so stunning - I am amazed you get so much done week by week, I really feel I'm lagging behind lately! I posted really late today because although I was all ready, I went off for my 2nd jab at 10.00 and completely forgot it was Wednesday until lunchtime! Have been playing catch up ever since. If you have any spares I would love to swap ATCs - I have my postcard done, but the ATCs are not quite there yet but hey will be!! Have a good week, stay well stay safe, love n hugs Cindy xx

  9. Hi Zsuzsa, I don't know which I like best - the tea bags or the clean up sheet- they are both stunning. I love what you have done with the playing cards too - very creative. Thanks for stopping by my blog - I need to slow down for a few weeks, get back to 30mph lol. I'm not sure if I will be taking part in the ATC swap yet, will need to see how this week pans out, but I'd love to swap if I do. The hedgehogs are regular nightly visitors now- thanks to Mr M feeding them! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #23

  10. Hi. Saw your message about the Grunge paste. If you don't have it you must get some there is nothing quite like it and I know you will love it. Hugs, Angela xXx

  11. I adore your tea bag collection and the recent set is stunning. As is the clean up sheet. Sometimes there is just nothing like white stamping. The altered cards are looking good so far too. I just found a stash of them in my tidy up but they might be destined for card balls, I don't know. I'd love to swap ATCs if you have one.

  12. Well done on completing the 100 day challenge Zsuzsa. Love the final set in particular and the mop up sheet is stunning! Would make great backgrounds for ATCs. I am sticking with my PIF this year but hope there is a crop later where I can do swaps. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #1

  13. Great that you finished this 100 tea bag challenge with this brilliant set! I love the colours. Poor Oreo, it is always horrible to have to go to the VET, even if it is necessary (for dogs, at least once a year for the vaccines).
