I started this blog in July 2014 soon after I had discovered mixed media and art journalling. I remember being so confused about all the supplies and techniques and feeling a little lost. If I could give just one piece of advice to anyone starting out on their creative journey, it would be to 'just do it'! Don't worry about what you can and can not do - anything goes! Experimenting is part of the fun! What you create doesn't have to be perfect - just enjoy creating it!
I wouldn't call myself an artist, but I like to mess around with paint, paper and arty stuff. I don't have much "talent" in the traditional sense, but that's why I love mixed media arts: you don't need talent, just passion for colours, textures and patterns and I most certainly have that!
Join me in my quest for artistic fulfillment. I hope to bring together some resources from the web, as well as share my own explorations of mixed media techniques and products in hopes of inspiring others. The best way to explore my blog is through the Archive or Labels section in the left sidebar (although I will admit I'm not very consistent with my tags). My Pinterest link in the menu bar will take you to my Pinterest board, which I use as a gallery featuring my favourite projects. The pins all link back to the relevant posts, so you can find out more about them. The 'video flip-throughs' tab shows some of completed journals. If you're looking for something specific, use the search box at the top of the left side bar. (It works remarkably well - I use it too to find stuff on my own blog.)
A little bit about me: I live in Worcestershire, UK with my husband and our teenage son. We moved here from Gloucestershire in 2017. I'm originally from Hungary, by the way, in case you were wondering about my name. Apart from mixed media and art journalling, I also enjoy photography and digital arts (in fact, I wanted to start another blog, but I never got around to it!), as well as reading, cycling and walking in the countryside.

PS. Here's a picture of me and my family. A triple selfie taken a few years ago when our son was younger.
and here's another of me on holiday in Scotland in August 2014.
In November 2015, we added Oreo to our family. I regularly post photos of him in my WOYWW posts.
and one taken in Wales a couple of weeks later.
Here's Oreo in action:
