Hello again, three weeks in a row on WOYWW - this must be some kind of record for me these days! I've been a busy bee working on several projects inspired by the free LifeBook Taster Sessions. I actually have a desk shot for each project - hard to believe my desk was (sort of) cleared just last week! I've made a collage of my desk shots for your viewing pleasure!
Here are the lessons I've worked on - four of them at last count. They were supposed to be quickies, so didn't require too much time. I had loads of fun working on them and shared all of them in the FB group. I don't hang out on FB much these days but when we're working on the same projects, it's nice to see how other people interpret the same prompts.
How is that for short and sweet today? Just one more photo to share to remind us all of the summer - I took this photo back in August on my way to town to do some shopping - when it's dry I can walk across the fields all the way from my house on a public footpath! I probably won't be able to do that again until late Spring, unless we have a dry winter.
Happy October and happy WOYWW! xx
There's such a lot of beauty on your desk today! It's interesting to see what you've done for the challenge but my favourite pic is your colour swatch with the leaves, that's incredibly pleasing and very beautiful. I'm glad you've enjoyed the creative process of the art making, it does look like you've had fun!

Pleased you're enjoying the Lifebook Taster Session, looks good. I have succumb and joined The Creative Craft Accademy monthly Mixed Media Kit and On-Line class so I'm hoping to get my other stuff out of the way before it arrives so we'll see. Have a lovely week and a very happy and safe woyww, Angela x16x
ReplyDeleteLooks like you having fun!! Those background pieces look LUSH! I just can't commit to anything at the moment, too much trying to get out of my head as it is! That photograph sure is a beautiful view - so thankful for a sunny day today, has really lifted my spirits. Thanks for stopping by!!Stay safe, stay well, Cindyx
ReplyDeleteHi Zsuzsa. Fabulous pictures today - love the cornfield!! Yes, a beautiful reminder of our summer. I think I like the circles of colour best which are for the Nature walk. I just love the colours of autumn...
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Zsuzsa, WOW, I'm loving those projects!! I think your interpretations of fabulous my friend and totally digging the dragonfly!!!! I have signed up for those free prompts (TOTALLY ambitious of me) but alas, all I have been able to do is enjoy others' art from that. I just refuse to stress myself out again with all the "challenges!" That being said, I LOVE Tam and that is one I really wish I had time to do! That picture is GORGEOUS! I sooo wish I lived ANYWHERE close to anything that looked like, much less be able to walk somewhere from my home like that!! What a tremendous blessing to be able to do that and I envy you for sure!! I'm looking at 4 more years before I can retire and I want to move up to the mountains (one of the loves of my life) where my scenery will DEFINITELY be more grandiose! LOL Plus, I'm a huge hiker lover and that will feed my other grand love, which is NATURE!! Loving your goodies this week my friend and I hope the rest of your week is AMAZING! :) Felicia #27
ReplyDeleteI agree, these projects look lots of fun. You're right about Kew - the only problem with the rain was having to juggle my large (golfing style) Kew umbrella plus camera, phone and camera bag, whilst taking the photos.... but it was definitely beautiful still! Have a good week Helen #1
ReplyDeleteGorgeous projects, Zsuzsa, and I'm glad you are enjoying the taster sessions. I particularly like the first one and the quote on it - ties in with your comment on Mary Anne's blog about art being a retreat from the world! I so identify with that!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment. Looking back at my fat photos, I really can't believe I actually did look like that, and that for years I thought it was OK! I am so glad that I took myself in hand and did something about it, and even more glad now that I can continue without the hassle of half-starving myself twice a week!! I enjoy my food immensely these days - it's really true that after a while eating whole-food plant-based, your taste buds recover and everything tastes truly delicious. I feel liberated, being able to eat as much as I want, and not gain weight! Who knew?!!! This is why I am so keen to get this message out - not just for the weight loss but for the incredible health benefits too, that no pill can come close to achieving. I feel better these days than I've felt for years.
I'm glad you like the tiny carpets. I've started designing the 5th one, and tomorrow I am hoping to settle down to making up the first 2 needle books, in order to meet Monday's deadline. It's such an enjoyable project.
The kitties are so funny with each other, and with us, come to that! They definitely have different facial expressions for their varied moods. The way Lily was looking at Ruby said it all, didn't it! You can understand why we spend so much time laughing at them! Their little characters are so different, and their funny little ways so individual to them. Over the years we've had so many kitties but these two seem to be particularly special. I'm glad you liked my purple top, too - it's a bit on the large size these days haha! As for my hair, the single plait is my go-to style when I'm not bothering - quick to do, and keeps it out of the cooking! I've decided to let my hair grow really long again - I've never been a short-hair person really. (In another life, would I be a Persian cat? Haha!)
Happy WOYWW,

Love how you've been diving into these projects. The papers are so pretty but I think the dragonflies are my fav. I am definitely going to do those later cos the instructions are so good. Love your extra gold ♥
ReplyDeleteWow Zsuzsa, such a collection of beautiful projects. Love the multi desk shot too. Hope you can use that walk into town again soon. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #4
ReplyDeleteNow we have discovered we are both attempting the Life Book 2021!! I don't think any of the tasks are 'half-hour'. I seem to spend a lot of time waiting for drying!! So far I have managed to complete 14 units with another in process. I enjoyed Eulelia's dragonflies - see my versions here https://susanrenshaw0404.blogspot.com/2020/10/day-6-of-31-days-of-halloween.html
ReplyDeleteI am also trying to do 31 Days of Halloween...
Happy woyww! Susan #7
Ooh so much gorgeous work on your desk, I love the dragonflies and the beautiful, vibrant turquoise background on your painting that seems to really bring it alive, but most of all I love the autumn colour palette - this is my favourite time of year and those colours are simply delicious! I've just started some autumn watercolour ideas for my sister's birthday card and have been colour swatching but nothing anywhere near as stylish and frame-worthy as yours!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week,

Hi Zsuzsa, the four desk shots are a fab idea, and love your take on the prompts. The swatches with leaves is very eye catching. Great photo, not looking like we'll be getting a dry winter at the moment!. Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5. X
ReplyDeleteLoving this colourful post, Zsuzsa - what a great lot of fun projects!!
ReplyDeleteLove the desk collage hahaha, those projects look fantastic!! Stay safe

Wow, I love the colours of your nature walk with those beautiful leaves! The picture of the field is gorgeous as well, clouds are interesting here. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteNow that was a very productive series of FB sessions - those background sheets are wonderful. I love the colour chart too - would be perfect to frame and hang. YOur desk pictures are great - most interesting that you manage to give yourself decent space to work on, however many bottles and ingredients you need. I could learn from that!
ReplyDeleteLove those background papers!
ReplyDeleteNice artwork.
Peace,
LuLu
